Organization of Classes - small groups Materials Needed - web sites Radio Activity - After hearing the radio program, have students discuss the types of goods and services that are provided by sustainable industries. What common threads are observed in these businesses? What approach or philosophy to business is shared by the interviewees? How does this differ from other businesses in your area? Interview Activity - Interview persons who work in other sustainable businesses in your community. Additional Activities - Have students break into small groups and develop plans for sustainable businesses. Visit the web sites of sustainable businesses. Visit these sustainable businesses for an on-site look at the behind the scenes workings of sustainable businesses. Assessment of Student Performance - Teacher judgement of classroom participation. |
