Countdown To Millennium

CREATING A WEB PAGE

INTRODUCTION

The Web Pages for the Countdown To Millennium web site were made using the following software:

Microsoft FrontPage
Dazzle DVC
Sound Forge 4.0
Microsoft Image Composer

Of course, other programs can be used.

There are three basic elements that you will prepare prior to construction of the Web page:

    - A still picture captured from the videotape
    - A short sound clip
    - Two LISTEN button graphics

Connecting your camera to the computer: This project involves capturing still images and sound. In order to accomplish that the user must connect the VCR or video camera to the Dazzle video capture device and the computer’s sound card. First, make sure your camera or VCR is plugged into a power source. The Dazzle unit plugs into the parallel port of your computer. The Dazzle device must also be plugged into a power source. Connect the yellow cable end to the yellow jack on the VCR or the camera. This is the video connection. The opposite end of the yellow cable connection should then be plugged into the Video In (yellow) jack on the Dazzle unit. The white sound cable end should then be plugged into the white jack on the side of the camera. The opposite end of the sound cable should be plugged into the microphone port on the computer’s sound card. The camera is now connected to the computer and you are ready to begin the creation process.
