Still beautiful after 115 years, the Haydenville
Methodist Church boasts four different kinds of tile that were produced in Peter Hayden's
clay products plant. The church served as a place of worship, a community gathering
place, as well as a model for the kind of work being done in the plant. The original, much
taller steeple was hit by lightning and had to be replaced but the church has stayed
pretty much the same since it was built. The stained glass window is dedicated to
the memory of Peter Hayden.
