It was and is a place full of community spirit, friendships, traditions and plain American people. Once a booming center of business, Haydenville, its company long since closed is attempting to preserve the old time spirit. The town of Haydenville is the result of an ambitious entrepreneur, Peter Hayden, who wanted to develop a community whose livelihood would depend on its natural resources.
