Haydenville Photo Album

When, in 1883, Peter Hayden decided to manufacture a line of clay products he began in a big way. He set out to build - not just a plant and kiln, but a town - a self contained and self-sustaining community.

The care he took and the attention to detail that he gave is in evidence everywhere - from the bricks under your feet as you walk down a street, to the chimney tops overhead.

These photos show the streets and people of Haydenville - Ohio's last company town.
