Ohio University Alumnus Awarded Broadcaster of the Year

On September 10th, Broadcasting & Cable awarded Broadcaster of the Year to Ohio University Alum, Perry Sook. Sook received a bachelor’s degree in science and communication upon graduating from Ohio University in 1980. Sook is currently the president and chief executive officer for Nexstar Broadcasting Group. Nexstar Broadcasting Group is headquartered in Texas, and is among the top 20 broadcasting companies to provide programming and other services to 63 stations across 14 states. Sook is currently on the Board of Trustees for the Ohio University Foundation, and holds a spot in the Ohio Communication Hall of Fame. Sook was given the award of 2009 Broadcaster of the Year at the Television Bureau of Advertising Conference in New York.
